Anthropologie, why are your shoes so expensive? These shoes are in the November catalog for $388. For shoes. I know. I wish I did not want them so much. I am definitely going to have to find this look for less.
I'm with you on this one. . .WAY out of my price range for just about anything that doesn't do what it's supposed to do & do it well with the push of a button. Who are these people who can afford to pay that much for shoes???
those shoes are great, but for the price, they're really just a tan t-strap mary jane. However, I take the knock-off search as a great challenge. I also will make note of the name or style of the shoe and then search for it on ebay the following year. very often you can find someone's cast offs or an overstock item.
I don't know if you ever found a knock off for these (I'm working my way through your archives, haha. I'm having a stay-at-home Saturday night! :P ) but I bought a GREAT pair of honey t-straps that are really similar at ModCloth last fall!

Wow... that's well over an entire month's car payment for me!! Too bad it's much harder to copy Anthro's shoes than their clothes!

Yep, ditto, and also the same on several other items in the latest catalog. It's great I can sew -- now if I could only knit and make shoes!
