Another example of freezer paper stencil. Any simple image can become fabric art. The bird image is just clip art. There are tutorials all over if you've not tried this yet.I listed a few of my favorites in this post.

I love freezer paper stenciling, but am way too impatient to do it frequently. this collection of birds is lovely.
I like that you have stenciled over a printed fabric. That's a really nice contrast between the stripeed background and the solid color stencil.
ooh you got me wondering about hole in stocking songs now. at this early time of the morning, i can only think of henry who had a hole in his *bucket*, so liza offered lots of sensible suggestions to fix it. if you think of the song please tell!

The pattern is cafe style. I just held the fabric up and decided how far I wanted it to wrap around my body. It's just a rectangle with a shorter rectangle on the top sewn down for the pockets. Does that make sense? Somehow I always make it sound harder than it is.
