skirt from vintage bark cloth
self drafted pattern
In our household we have the same conversation every Spring.
Usually it goes something like this.
I can't believe how windy it is. I think this is the worst windy day ever.
Did you forget how windy it was last Spring?
Yeah, but this year it's worse. It's serious windy out there.
You said that last year.
Noooo... it's definitely windier.
You've just forgotten how windy it gets here in the Spring.
I'm serious. What in the world are we going to talk about when we're a couple of oldsters? I am pretty sure you only get a certain amount of this kind of dialog. Once you've used it up, that's it.
I had planned on a little gardening.
Then I realized I'd gone out on the windiest day ever....

LOL...Each year we seemed surprised and shocked by the late spring freeze that occurs EVERY YEAR here in Ohio. :-)
Love, love the skirt!!!
Kimberly
you are adorable. Made my day...except now I want to steal your skirt.
Good luck on the wardrobe challenge.. sounds like a fun ton of work!!!!
We have a conversation like that in our house every year, too, except it involves the amount of snow we've had in previous years (we live in NC, so snow is not common). "This is the most snow we've ever had!" "No, remember last year when we got 6 inches in January?" "No, that was the year before." "I don't think so. The kids had a snow day, remember?" "Yeah, but that was for ice, not snow." "Well, when did we get all of those pictures of the snow on the deck?..." You know what I mean. I'm glad it's not just us!
Michelle,
That's so funny.
It's nice to know we're not alone.
And actually, today was the windiest day ever, no really.
At least you now have a skirt that won't end up next to your chin when you're hit by an unusually large gust.
ha! just stopped by via MMMay group on flickr. This is the funniest! It happens here in the uk too, although it's usually 'this is the rainiest / windiest / coldest / cloudiest [insert month] we've ever had!'
