The look for less...

j.crew cashmere schoolgirl cardigan
retail $129.00 (on sale)

cashmere sweater (thrifted) $4.00
dye (darma trading) 3.99
new buttons (stash)
labor (how to measure)
leather belt (thrifted) .50

vintage drapery fabric (stash)

I finally finished this hot pattern skirt. I dug it out of the black hole. I was having fitting issues, but all is resolved. J.Crew catalog has several different versions of pencil skirts, retail $175.

This is way too much fun!!

Love it! Cashmere sweaters are among my favorite things to thrift. Your outfit looks fantastic.

Looks wonderful! I have never even considered dying thrifted clothes... thanks for the tip!

What color dyes did you use? Saw on refashion that they were from Dharma Trading co. for $3.99. And were they the Acid dyes? I'm in love with that yellow color at the moment and really want to try this.

I do like your outfit better than j crew - really impressive!

I put a diy up on wardrobe refashion. I received several questions on method, color, etc. I ended up loving the color of this sweater, I'm wearing it right now.

I love your idea of taking something you love and recreating it for a more reasonable price. Nice work tiger.
